WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD IN YEARS!!!!!. I am embarrassed to have had my staff Christmas dinner at this "Pit". I had a reservation for 10 at 7pm. We had frequented the Early Dawn on many occasions and while it was nothing fancy, it was a decent steak meal. I assumed when it closed and the new owners closed "for remodeling", it would be a little nicer, I should have checked because it was the exact same stains on the carpet that ED left. That aside, I knew when I made our reservation that there was a party of 30 ahead of us but we had a differeent server, so no problem......Our server, Dorothy, forgot almost every watered down drink, lemon wedge request, salads, and appetizers. After sitting for 1 1/2 hours, we were finally told that our food was coming up, she just got our order in AFTER the larger party! Upon serving it, my Garlic Prawns Fetuccini turned out to be ice cold chicken fet., so yes she had them bring me a side of 4 small shrimp in some watered dowm alfredo sauce. I took 1 bite and couldn't stomach the rest. I am not a picky eater, but please, I have received better meals at a hospital cafeteria. All of the 4 $25.00 steaks were requested med rare and were received almost well done with 1 crispy on the edges. The knarly meat was not good enough to request a second attempt. One employee did order a salmon dinner and said it was not bad. I received the bill for $369.23 and of course that included a 15% gratuity. I spoke with the manager, Juan, about our horrible experience and embarrassment for my staff, and he did remove the appetizer charges. My new total was $297.00 and I gave Dorothy a $40.00 tip ONLY because it is Christmas. Not for her attitude or apptitude! I can't recall a worse experience at a restaurant....I am sad to say, it even affected my sleep last night! I am so upset, If I could give this restaurant a negative star rating, I would. I am going to take my staff out again in January, since now Christmas schedules won't allow it. Rest assured, it won't be close to the Kansas Pit!!!!
