Great food, but risky to eat.
I will start this out by saying that I am a "foodie"--a full blown lover of all food from the exquisite to the simple. I am quite the chef myself, so I will give it to you straight.
I've been to this place at least 15 times, and the food tastes great! The spices used are invigorating, and the food is a bit addicting. I was at a point were I was buying the taco salads and burritos con pollo 3-4 times a week...
Be warned, it is cash only. The service is lacking, and the appearance of the restaurant isn't too flashy either. It looks like a taqueria straight out of Tijuana. It's usually pretty quiet in there, but there is a steady flow of people going in and out of this place at all times. There is no attempt of any kind towards "food presentation," but that is not expected at a taqueria. The steady rhythms of a Spanish radio station accompany you in the restaurant to add to your TJ experience.
On our last visit, my husband got very ill. He was home from work all day ill from the food. Personally, that scared me out of going back, but my husband likes their food so much he said that he is willing to risk it again.
Consider yourself warned!
