Prompt Seating, Great People and Fantastic Mexican Food!. Friendly people, VERY PROMPT seating. Six of us walked in on Sunday, January 25th 2009 at 5PM and were in our seats in five minutes. Great WARM chips and two types of dip. Knowledgeable food servers, frequent refills. Used to work nearby and started going there shortly after they opened, have never been unhappy after one of our many visits1 TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT! The best tasting Mexican food I have ever had. we live in Modesto, but if we are going Mexican food, this is always our destination.

leoandlydia. I live in Merced but my favorite Mexican restaruant is Las Casuelas in Turlock. My fiance took me there for my birthday alomost 2 yrs ago and since then we keep going back. He told them it was my birthday so to my surprise they came and put a poncho and hat on my and gave me and old rifle (fake) gun to hold, then they started singing...it was hilarious. If your want to embarass someone on their birthday, take them to las casuelas lol. There food is excellent and authentic, I am mexican american and their food is very good. They serve salsa AND bean dip with chips instead of just the traditional salsa most other places serve. The restaruant is clean , decorated nicely, spacious. I've always had great customer service. As far as the review before mine, I don't know what kind of credit cards they had but we use a credit card all the time and have never had a problem. Anyhow, if your want very good tasting mexican food at a nice clean family kind of place, go to las casuelas, you won't be let down!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Tonight we dined at Las Casuelas for a good friend's birthday. We were appalled by the horrible customer service. Half of our orders were messed up and they rudely responded to such situations. Never once did they check on us or refill our drinks. We had to get up and find a waitor to refill it for us. The waitress never asked us if we needed anything and cleared our food and drinks before we were finished. The check situation was the worst. At the beginning of the meal, we asked for separate checks and they refused. So we asked if it would be possible to pay with different cards. They said that was fine. However when we went to do so, they refused to take all of our cards, saying we had to pay with cash. It was so frustrating. We tried to talk to a manager but he was just as rude as the servers. We ended up having to use their atm to withdrawal money (which charged us an extra $4). Basically, I would call this a dining diasaster. I DO NOT reccommend this restaraunt for any large groups. While the food is good, the customer service is sadly lacking and as a customer you will be left extremely unsatisfied.
