Essence of Turlock.
This should be declared a national landmark. I always remember seeing this restaurant but never going in. Being spontaneous one day, I took a date to Latif's. Since then I've been a regular. This place truly rocks! Awesome food and service. Not to mention President George Bush has been here. You can have the opportunity to sit in his chair. They also have an old scale that was bought from an old pharmacy that closed down. As a young kid I remember getting on the scale while my mom did some shopping at that old pharmacy.
There pies beat other major chain's pies. If you are a visitor in town this is a must.

yum. Latif's is a great, 50s-style diner with homestyle food at great prices.
