Don't waste your money – They do not deserve the one star I gave them. I love the Hatch Rd location so I foolishly assumed the Coffee Rd location would be equally good. YUCK. From the first minute we walked in -horrible. First we were placed at a dirty table with a significant amount of food on the floor around the chairs. Even the tip from the previous patrons still lay on the table. The hostess acted rather put out when we asked her to please clean up the table. She asked me why I thought the table needed to be clean. I suppose I should have been comfortable eating on a table that had food crumbs and pieces from the previous customers. She could have chosen from any of 15-20 clean empty tables. The chips that were placed on the table were so incredibly stale they could not be eaten.Service was horrible I never got my full order of food. I just gave up. My dinner companion had to ask for the green sauce that should have come with her food 3 times. The food was cold. The actual waitress never came back to ask us if we needed anything. We were just trying to grab anyone one walked buy to get our orders right. This a joke. I will never return every employee in there needs to be fired. Too much chit chatting with other employees rather than taking care of the customers.
Are u kidding? – What a joke. Their idea of shrimp is filling tortillas with $1.99lb salad shrimp. Oh, and if you order butterfly shrimp you better make it a double order.
My brother likes it. – This is my brother and his wife's favorite Mexican Restaurant, so they took me, because I was craving Mexican food after my "not so great" experience in Hawaii. I am an enchilada person. Everywhere I go, I try their enchilada. I had it with Mole. I asked the waitress if it was "spicy or sweet," and she said "sweet". It was good, a bit on the salty side rather than sweet, but I'd definitely order it again. The mexican rice was a bit weak, but his wife pointed out that it was an off day. It usually has flavor... The atmosphere was nice, the menu looked good. They were telling me that no matter what they order, it's always good. They haven't had a bad experience. I wish I could've tasted more things, but there's only so much I can eat. There was so much food, I barely finished my plate!
GREAT place to eat, have a drink... GREAT FOOD. – Great service. Really affordable. HIGHLY recommended..
You'd never think a mexican restaurant would have such great SALMON but let me tell ya it was phenomenal!
Homemade corn tortillas when you sit down along with chips salsa and cabbage all the good stuff.
Number 20 Milenesa. AMAZING. Also their green salsa is made from FRESH tomatios. They are the only restaurant around that doesnt use canned green sauce. If you haven't had La Morenita you haven't had real mexican food!
Best Mexican Food in Modesto – Try the number 21, which is steam pressed chicken coated in their special sauce.
I order it every-time and the rice and beans are to die for. Trust a local and go to La Morenita!
Over Priced – The wait was long and the food was just ok.
Way over priced for mexican food
