My brakes were low and I had gotten a couple estimates elsewhere. Being a MJC student without a scholarship my budget is always tight. A friend recommended this place they did my brakes and alignment for $150 less than I was quoted by the next lowest priced shop. It was done on time and at the price they quoted me. Should not be surprised about this but I have found it uncommon among repair shops.

took my vehicle in for the first time about a year ago when i first moved to modesto. mark was very friendly and gave a competetive quote for the work I needed done. I've been back several times since, even had a couple small things done for free! Check them out.

My first experience was a good one. Last year, my battery was dead as I was getting ready to leave for work, and since I lived right around the corner, they let me pick up there little jump start machine to jump my car. I then drove my car over there, and they replaced my battery, and the total charge was about 90 bucks. My 2nd experience was great as well. I was going on a 1200 mile road trip, and asked them to give my car a good look over an see if anything needed replacement or repair. Prior to going there I already knew my brakss were going out, and that my tires were on their last legs. They replaced my brakes and rotors, and one tire for what I thought a reasonable 450 bucks. All in all, experience was great, and the people were nice. I highly recommend these guys!

I can't believe how great Northern Tire is. Took my car in, pulled the flat out of my trunk, and within 5 minutes, someone checked it out, confirmed what I wanted and got started. Ten minutes later (yes, 10 mins!!), I was out the door with a new tire installed. It cost a lot less than the last flat I had fixed at big-o, too. Definitely recommend this place, and I know I'll be going back!

northern tire and wheel is a honest shop, took my car to the dealer, they quoted me some really high estimates for my front and rear brakes, took my car out and consulted with a friend, she told me to give you a try, i brought the car in you gave me a free loaner, when you called back you said only the front brakes need attention right now, the back can wait untill the next oil change, and the estimate was fantastic. Thank you very much.

Very reasonable price. Managers are courteous and mechanics are reliable. I have been going there for about 10 years for various needs of my cars and very satisfied. Sometimes, they give me a good deal. If they cannot repair confidently, they are honest and refer you to good garages in town. Tire, Wheels, Brakes, Shock, Struts Northern Tire & Wheel is the best in town!!!

The people were so nice and friendly. I got a piece of metal stuck in my tire, and I took it to another place. They said it would cost $200 to replace the tire. So I took it to Northern and the guy just pulled out the metal and found no leak. And he didn't even charge me for it. The other place didn't even consider that the metal didn't puncture the tire, they just wanted to charge me!

bad business-people not honest. so i checked these guys out on ebay and found a 6 inch lift- i called them directly and spoke with Mark who guaranteed me the same ebay rate for the 6 inch pro comp lift. so i picked it up and took it apart and was reading the directions and figured out why it was such a great deal- it was only a 5 inch lift! now it doesnt seem like it would be a big difference but to me it did not to mention the fact that the manager Mark lied about it being a 6 inch. then i did my homework and looked up his ebay status and see that he lied to a few other people. I IMMEDIATELY called him on it and his quick response of "bring it back" ticked me off even more- like maybe he has had this issue before?hmmmm not to mention i want the 6 in pro comp that he guaranteed (and sold me) not the one he actually delivered. over all they are slimey lying salespeople who try to take advatage of people. Im just wondering how many people who put a lot of money into their vehicle were told they got something (like a 6 in lift) and got something less. Overall- BAD experience and would tell anyone that they should not deal with these guys

Very accommodating, great work. I called Northern Tire and Wheel with a lift and tires I ordered off the internet. I was in a real bind to get them installed since my plans fell through. Northern came through and lifted my truck the next day. My lift even had missing parts and Northern replaced them. They were friendly and hospitable. They are just a bit expensive, but that money goes toward great work and excellent service.
